Malacara Race is the host for the 3rd ARWS South American Adventure Racing Championship in December 2023, hosting the 230km race from the town of Orleans in Santa Catarina.
Malacara Race adventure races are known for their truly challenging courses, including ropes activities, mountain biking, canoeing, orienteering and much more. Currently one of the most important and successful adventure racing organizations in the country, they also have a factory of packrafts and provide tracking devices in partnership with TrackTheRace to further encourage and help other organizers in Brazil.
Now Malacara Race will host the South American Adventure Racing Championship bringing together the best teams from all over South America to race for the title of ARWS South America champions. The winners will take a free place at the 2024 Adventure Racing World Championship at Huairasinchi in Ecuador

The Malacara race in Brazil marks the return of the Adventure Racing World Series to Brazil after six years. The race, organized by Leo and Benito Borba, promises to be one of the most beautiful and challenging events in the history of Brazil with 26 teams from 10 nations competing in a 500km course covering 8 sections with over 13000mts of altitude. This demonstration race for the ARWS will test the endurance and skills of the mixed teams of 4.
Team Brazil Multisport successfully defended their Adventure Racing World Series South America title at the La Gesta race in Paraguay. The team, ranked #3 in the world, overcame challenging conditions and tough competition from top teams across six South American countries to claim victory. The race featured a range of challenges, including paddling on the Parana River, biking through muddy trails, and an abseil down a dam.
The best adventure racing teams in South America are preparing for 250km of Adventure at the Malacara Race in Brazil.
