About host location "MECHUKHA" - A world untouched by time
High in the Himalayas, situated amid breathtaking beauty, lies the enchanting hamlet of Menchukha. Cradled 6,000 feet above sea level in the eastern state of Arunachal Pradesh, Menchukha (also known as Menchukha) offers a captivating blend of nature, culture, and adventure.
The name ‘Menchukha’ itself whispers stories of the land.
In the local dialect, Mechukha or Menchukha, which is made of three words: “Men” means “medicinal”, “Chu” means “water” and “Kha” means “ice”. The melted glacial water flowing through the valley is believed to possess healing properties.
This hidden gem, tucked away in the West Siang district, is a haven for nature lovers. Shrouded in pine trees and bushes, it is one of the lesser-explored valleys in the region, preserving its immaculate beauty with snow-capped peaks, a pristine lake, and the mighty Siyom River (locally known as Yargyap Chu) carving its way through the landscape. Menchukha Valley offers a variety of adventure activities, making it an exciting playground for those seeking an adrenaline rush.
